Is starting an Internet business an idea that appeals to you?

If you want to earn a lot of money online, you need to use leverage. You do not want to sell your product alone. So, how do you go about doing this?

1. Recruit masses of affiliates to sell your product 24/7

The first question you need to ask yourself if you really want to make it big is – how do I get affiliates to promote my products? There are two main ways to persuade them to do this.

The first is to create a product that is so powerful, and which is needed by so many people, that affiliates automatically recognize it as a guaranteed money maker for them. This is an ideal situation but the problem is that it is difficult to come up with a product that achieves this effect. It is possible though, you just need to perform extensive market research and put sufficient time and resources into the creation of your product.

The second approach, which is the most common, is to send the top affiliates in your niche a free review copy of your product. Then, ask them to promote it if they like it. Make sure that you follow up because super affiliates receive dozens of joint venture offers per day.

2. Make an efficient sales funnel

What is a sale funnel? In a nutshell, it is the path that your visitor will take from the time he subscribes to your site (or buys your low priced flagship product) to the time he buys one of your high ticket items.

An example of a sales funnel is as follows…

A visitor to your landing page signs up for a free report or product, and are then redirected to a page that offers a discounted product for $37. Following this he is sent a series of emails that contain useful information but which also promote a $97 product. After that series of emails, or when he makes that purchase, he is sent a new series of emails that promote an even higher priced product, and so on.

The above example is based on a visitor who always goes for your upsell, for those who don’t purchase your upsell, you would implement a different path until he becomes a buyer.

You should spend some time analyzing and perfecting your sales funnel because, once you hit upon a winning formula, affiliates will send more and more traffic your way.

As a final point about the affiliate recruitment and sales funnel process in general – keep it simple. The more complex you make it, the less chance there is of you actually following through with it all of the way. Also, if it is too complex, you confuse both affiliates and prospects – which is something that you want to avoid at all costs.

This is good advice, and I have personally used the tactics set out in this article to market my own products. Whatever niche or niches that you happen to be in, this approach works equally as well.
