Global Climate Change conference called as COP 15 is currently taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark from 7 December to 18 December 2009.
It’s more than a week now and only 2 days remaining to get over the COP15 conference and there is still no conclusion.
World leaders from countries around the globe and are still fighting on who does first and to what extent! Negotiations are fine but time is getting overlooked. The time remained to save mother earth is very small. There is definitely no excuse for inaction.
If no concrete action is taken to reduce the greenhouse gases it will destroy the earth and the man kind.
The main objective for the COP 15/MOP 5 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Denmark is to establish an ambitious global climate agreement for the period from 2012 when the first commitment period under the Kyoto Protocol expires.
Humans have already developed many tools and approaches to deal effectively with the climate change challenge. But they must be vigorously and widely implemented to achieve the societal transformation required to de-carbonize economies. A wide range of benefits will flow from a concerted effort to alter our energy economy now, including sustainable energy job growth, reductions in the health and economic costs of climate change, and the restoration of ecosystems and revitalization of ecosystem services.
